I’ve dealt with depression for as long as I can remember and it’s because of things like this…. it’s because sometimes I’m so disappointed in the judgement of my fellow human beings and so just simply don’t understand. Why is it okay to put kids in cages, separate them from their parents, leave infants and toddlers to be cared for by other children, leaving kids without enough diapers and with water that smells like bleach. What is wrong with humanity? If $775 is going “to each kid per day” and a train is moving south at 50 miles an hour at what time will someone with power ask where the money they’re not using to care for these kids is going. Why is it so hard to put yourself in other peoples shoes. Would you let this happen to your children?! (Texas Tribune has the article….
